In a title fight between two Mexican stars it was dubbed as a “Civil War of Mexico” however only one side came to fight.
Saul “Canelo” Alvarez smoked Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. right from the start. Although Chavez Jr. was the so called taller and bigger man there was no apparent fight from him as all three judges ringside scored the contest 120 to 108 well in favor of Canelo.
A shutout pitched by Canelo as Chavez Jr. gets skunked and will probably disappear in the ring from the public. Yes! Chavez Jr. did that bad on such a huge stage.
And than the post fight takes place, providing the most action from the night. A well rehearsed announcement, like something out of the WWE. Gennady Golovkin was in attendance, well dressed, GGG highlights ready for the cue. GGG vs Canelo will happen and is a reality for September.
The fight fans had been waiting for kinda makes up for the money wasted on the May 6th event.
Oddly enough the T-Mobile arena was booked for September 16, 2017 which led some to believe the date was for a Mayweather vs McGregor match-up. Well apparently it seems to be reserved for GGG vs Canelo although not officially confirmed, but come on! It’s only obvious.
So you heard it hear folks. September 16, 2017 Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs Gennady “GGG” Golovkin at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Canelo vs Chavez may just had been the biggest pay-per-view fight announcement of all time.
