Lomachenko & The Ukrainians Dominate a Night of Boxing

Vasyl Lomachenko and Ukrainian friends Oleksandr Usyk, and Oleksandr Gvozdyk were the televised features of Top Rank’s HBO event from the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

All the Ukrainian fighters pulled off the victories against their opposition on the telecast.

Now for the main Ukrainian on everyone’s mind, Vasyl Lomachenko.

Vasyl Lomachenko faced Jason Sosa with the WBO Super Featherweight Title at stake. Jason Sosa was a tough competitor, but Lomachenko just seems to be on a different level than any fighter at 130 pounds. Lomachenko was having his way every single round and tried to break Sosa’s spirit with taunts every now and then.

Enough was enough finally after 9 rounds of action, as Sosa’s corner halted the fight between rounds. The corner forewarned a stoppage after the 8th round when Jason Sosa was receiving too much punishment.

Lomachenko rises further up the pound for pound list and adds another TKO victory to his resume. Vasyl Lomachenko is now 8-1, 6KOs.

With a short 130 pound list, Lomachenko may look to move up to 135 lbs. where fighters like Mikey Garcia are available. The only opponent to keep him at 130 may be  a rematch with Orlando Salido to seek vengence.

Also if you noticed the professional series “Rival” gloves Vasyl Lomachenko was wearing those style gloves will soon be available for purchase on the Rival Boxing Store site.
