Rico Ramos and Erik Ruiz headlined the 10 round Roy Jones Jr. Promotions card at the D in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Erik Ruiz had moments early in the contest, but Rico Ramos dominated a majority of the fight. Ramos could really feel he was dominating from the 6th round and beyond as he started showboating at times. Despite being up, Ramos could never put Ruiz away.
Rico Ramos got a unanimous decision victory and improves to 27-5, 13KOs.
The co-feature featured a shocker when RJJ prospect Randy Moreno took on Thomas Herrera. Moreno dominated the first round of action, but the second round was a different story. Herrera was able to down Moreno. Moreno recovered but was dropped again with wide overhand left. Moreno rose up legs a little wobbly, but referee Jay Nady felt it was enough to halt the contest.
