It was suppose to go down February 25, 2017 at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas. Miguel Cotto vs James Kirkland has now been cancelled. Possibly postponed depending on healing process and if Miguel Cotto wants to wait around. No future date has yet been determined.
The card was suppose to be aired on HBO-PPV and feature Guillermo Rigondeaux as the co-main event.
The fight is off for now due to an injury to James Kirkland. The injury is from a fractured nose and a deep cut to go along with it.
Both fighters have not made an appearance in the ring since taking losses to Canelo Alvarez. Miguel’s loss was in November of 2015 and Kirklands loss was in May of 2015.
